Yesterday was a banner day at the Salvation Army. Sundays are usually pretty empty at my local store, but there always seems to be a few new treasures. I found this mint condition Pyrex casserole, in the green olive Verde pattern.... a highly unusual find!
Here's a large black ruffled glass vase. Again, an usual find due to the color. Unfortunately, there is no mark and my research has uncovered nothing about it.
Finally, my favorite find is this antique platter from the Edge Malkin Co. The transferware pattern is green Tonquin and it was produced around 1883. It's about 10" x 14". There's a couple of minor cracks in the upper left corner, but for china over 100 years old, that's not bad.
All in all, a pretty good day.
