Vintage for Him



I normally migrate to the household and kitchen items when shopping for vintage, but every so often I come across some "made for men" vintage. Men's formal neckties have been around since the early 1900's, as ascots and cravats. As men's fashions became more casual in the 1910's and 1920's, the necktie as we know it today emerged. Through the years, ties went through many styles, including wide, extra wide and skinny. Today, men's ties are available in many widths, cuts, fabrics, patterns and themes. Whatever your interest, there's a tie to express it. Ties are even used as an advertising platform. Here's a few of my favorites:
